The Difference Between Train Horns and Air Horns

Are you thinking about installing a train horn on your car, but you don’t know much yet about train horns? Certain websites you will find about train horns for cars will also talk about air horns. What’s the difference between them? Are they the same? A train horn is just a type of air horn, so they are basically the same. Both operate by using compressed air. The only real difference is that an air horn in general can be constructed to make any specific kind of sound – even music – while a train horn is simply an air horn whose specific sound is that of, obviously, a train.
