Vehicle Transport - A Logistical Miracle

You live on a farm in North Dakota.  There is a small town near you but the nearest city is Grand Forks and that is over seventy five miles away.  You decide that you want to purchase a new pickup truck, but you don’t just want any truck off of the lot.  Because of the size of your farm, you have some very firm specifications that you need for your truck, so it will need to be special ordered from the factory.  The factory that will build that truck to specs is located on the east coast and then they will have to work out a vehicle transport to get the truck to you.

Your specific vehicle transport is approximately 2000 miles and will take some real logistical thinking on how to get it delivered to the farmer with as much expedience as possible.  The truck will make several transfers.  It will travel by truck to the train, then will go cross country by train on the Burlington Northern to Rockford where it will be unloaded and taken by another semi truck to Grand Forks.  After the truck is prepared in Grand Forks, a special driver will deliver the truck to the farmer at his home, and all will end well.
