Phaser Ink – Solid, Liquid & Toner
January 30, 2009 on 8:15 pm | By admin | In Business | 2 CommentsOne of Xerox’s most popular products is the Phaser printer. In fact, there are many different models under the Phaser name, all of which are great printers. what do all these printers have in common? They all use Phaser ink, of course!
Phaser ink comes in three different varieties; solid, liquid, and toner. You have probably heard of the later two, but have you heard of the first? Most people haven’t. Solid Phaser ink is pretty much the same thing as liquid or toner, but it is in a solid, block form. This block is placed into your printer, and then your printer begins to melt it down into liquid ink, and will continue to melt down the ink as it is needed.
Most Phaser ink is sold in the liquid form, but to be honest I don’t know why. Solid ink produces much better results, has a cheaper per-print cost, is easier to use, and is more environmentally friendly. If you are a large corporation doing thousands of prints on a regular basis, you will appreciate the money that solid Phaser ink saves you. If you are a fan of the graphic arts, you will appreciate the vibrant, bright colors it produces. And if you are concerned about the environment, you will appreciate the reduced waste product that comes from solid inks. Since solid ink has no container (like liquid ink does), there is nothing to throw away when you run out of ink. Everything went directly on the paper. No leftovers, no waste product, no mess.
