Sync Toy version 2.0 for Windows
September 4, 2008 on 7:14 pm | By admin | In TechnologyThere are files from all kinds of sources that we want to store and manage. Files are created by our digital cameras, e-mail, cell phones, portable media players, camcorders, PDAs, and laptops. Increasingly, computer users are using different folders, drives, and even different computers (such as a laptop and a desktop) to store, manage, retrieve and view files. Yet managing hundreds or thousands of files is still largely a manual operation. In some cases it is necessary to regularly get copies of files from another location to add to primary location; in other cases there is a need to keep two storage locations exactly in sync. Some users manage files manually, dragging and dropping from one place to another and keeping track of whether the locations are synchronized in their heads. Zune Blog says other users may use two or more applications to provide this functionality. Now there is an easier way. SyncToy, a free PowerToy for Microsoft Windows, is an easy to use, highly customizable program that helps users to do the heavy lifting involved with the copying, moving, and synchronization of different directories. Most common operations can be performed with just a few clicks of the mouse, and additional customization is available without additional complexity. SyncToy can manage multiple sets of folders at the same time; it can combine files from two folders in one case, and mimic renames and deletes in another case. Unlike other applications, SyncToy actually keeps track of renames to files and will make sure those changes get carried over to the synchronized folder.
For the Traveler
September 4, 2008 on 4:19 pm | By admin | In TechnologyHave you ever taken your Wii on a trip or to a friends house got home and noticed damage on your console? It can be vulnerable during travel. Scratches are likely, but it is even possible to damage the internal components as well if you are not very careful with the transporting of your Wii. Consider placing a case on your Wii. Wii cases are not only functional but they also make them in fun colors. I have a bright pink one. It keeps my Wii console looking great and safe. You can also get a matching case for your nunchuck.
The list best selling Nintendo DS games per continent
August 30, 2008 on 7:22 pm | By admin | In TechnologyAs I was web browsing, I stumbled upon this on a Nintendo DS Blog. It lists the best selling games for the major international markets. Check this out.
Nintendo DS North America: 1. New Super Mario Bros. (Nintendo), 2. Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness (Natsume), 3. Mario Kart DS (Nintendo), 4. Brain Age (Nintendo), 5. Brain Age 2 (Nintendo).
Japan: 1. Rhythm Tengoku Gold (Nintendo), 2. KORG DS-10 (AQ Interactive), 3. Dragon Quest V: Tenkuu No Hanayome (Square Enix), 4. Fire Emblem: Shin Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Ken (Nintendo), 5. Daigasso! Band Brothers DX (Nintendo).
UK: 1. Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training (Nintendo), 2. 42 All-Time Classics (Nintendo), 3. Mario Kart DS (Nintendo), 4. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega), 5. More Brain Training (Nintendo).
Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness makes a strong impression in North American Nintendo DS software sales in its first week of release, pushing past Mario Kart DS as this week’s second-best seller on the platform. Despite its initial sales strength, however, Island of Happiness could disappear from the top five as soon as next week, as recent hits like Guitar Hero: On Tour and The World Ends With You quickly disappeared from regional charts soon after their release.
Rhythm Tengoku Gold continues to lead Japanese multiplatform software sales, meanwhile, with KORG DS-10 and Dragon Quest V: Tenkuu No Hanayome trailing close behind.
Too Human: Ten Years in the MakingWill it be worth it?
August 29, 2008 on 1:24 pm | By admin | In TechnologyWhen is too much time a little too much? Too Human, the new action RPG from Silicon Knights, will finally be released this week after ten grueling years since the plan for the video game was erected. But with so much time invested in research and development, one should expect this game to reach the pinnacle of all RPGs. From the demo and online video samples, nothing seems to stand out. As the first installment of a planned trilogy, lot of similarities can be seen from previous RPGs such as God of War and the Final Fantasy anthology. So what differentiates this RPG from others?
When the player assumes the role of Baldur, a Cybernetic God, the player is responsible for the protection of mankind. What the public has been waiting for is the graphics and the gameplay of the video game. One can expect a nonstopping bombardment of action which utilizes flawless high flying hand/sword battles and is combined with long-range firearm combat. Players will have the chance to play online through Xbox Live. With Xbox Live, two players would have the opportunity to participate in co-operative gaming as they both try to save all of mankind.
If you still find yourself asking what makes this different from the other countless number of RPGs, do not fret. We’re thinking the same thing. There seems to be nothing special about the game despite all the time that was invested in creating the game. But, will it be a hit with gamers? Only time can tell if the game will turn out to be a success. But so far, all we have learned is that time is the only thing the game has going.

Laptop Broadband Plans and Converging Technologies
August 25, 2008 on 4:21 am | By admin | In TechnologyToday, there are many different devices that will accept wireless transmissions. Irregardless of whether you want to log onto the internet with a PDA or a laptop, you may find that you need to have a separate card and service plan for each device. That said, as you look at newer Laptop Broadband Plans, you may find that you can obtain discounts on services for other devices. You may even find that you can use the same card to connect all of your devices. Without a question, if you already know you are going to access the internet with multiple mobile devices, it will be worth your while to consolidate plans as much as possible.
Polo Via Satellite Broadband in Australia
August 23, 2008 on 4:18 am | By admin | In TechnologyIf you have never been to a polo match you have no idea what you are missing. You could easily watch one via satellite broadband in Australia if you wanted. I remember the first polo match I had ever seen, and let me tell you I was hooked. I was already in my mid twenties and had only ridden a horse a couple time in my life. So I knew that I would most likely never compete, but I still wanted to be a part of the sport of polo. I decided that the best thing I could do for the sport of polo is to raise awareness with recruiter training videos for the general public.
Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?
August 19, 2008 on 1:16 pm | By admin | In TechnologyIf you tell me that you never watched or played anything having to do with Where in the World is Carmen San Diego I know you are lieing. Especially if you are around the age of 24, like me, because that was very popular in my childhood. I know I would always be very excited when they found her in Venezuela because that was where I was born. It was always interesting to watch the show and frustrating at the same time because some of the kids on the show were not the sharpest tools in the shed that’s all.

Protecting Your Children Online
August 14, 2008 on 1:10 pm | By admin | In TechnologyProtecting your children online is a big and very important job which every single parent who allows their children to access the Internet must do. But how? Well I believe that the key to protecting children online is monitoring and clear boundaries. You set clear boundaries with you child and then check that they are staying within those boundaries. You can do this by using monitoring software to check up on your Childs activities. This type of software is typically available off the Internet for very little money. Once you have your rules in place be sure to post them up near to the computer to reinforce them and so that you can refer back to them at a later date.
Experience is needed to manage application server clustering systems
August 14, 2008 on 4:28 am | By admin | In TechnologyCreating your own application server clustering system is not possible unless you are an experienced IT professional. The detailed, technical processes that are involved cannot be performed by the average Joe Smoe. It takes time and skill to build anything that is related to computer hardware and software performances, not to mention application server clustering. This involves more than one server and each must perform at top notch level for customers who are paying for the service. They do not want to come to work one day and find that their system has been blown by an amateur or an intern who was given a pass to “learn how things work.” No, in the IT profession, you must know how things work.
