Most Items In Our Everyday Life Have a System for Identification!
November 4, 2008 on 11:24 am | By admin | In TechnologyWe often think of a system for identification being the soul domain of identifying people, but there are many identification systems for things other than people. Cars come with vehicle identification numbers, commonly know as a VIN number. Guns come with a registration number. Even computers connected to the internet come with an IP address to identify the computer. With cars, if they are stolen and recovered with a new paint job of any other modifications it can be traced back with a VIN number. With a firearm, a ID number can be investigated though IBIS to track down the history and the current owner of the weapon.
a phone for mom
November 3, 2008 on 9:23 am | By admin | In TechnologyMy mother has a difficult time with her phones, She needs one by her bed, and one in the kitchen and one by her recliner, where she spends her day. She isn’t able to walk, so we need to make sure she is able to reach her phone and that the phones are reliable. We are considering an at t phone, a trio cordless so that my mother’s caregiver can use one as well; the price is comparable to some single phones, so we feel the cost is reasonable. I will feel so much better knowing she has a reliable means of communication.

The surveillance equipment of the future… any guess?
November 1, 2008 on 12:17 pm | By admin | In TechnologyLet’s be honest, we just love to read the rumours about the next gen of anything, and why would it be different when the subject is surveillance equipment?
I can remember over the years browsing sites looking for the next gen rumors regarding “gpus” and other multimedia products that were classified but being worked on. Now, we may not be talking about the CIA technology department here, which has created things so exotic you wouldn’t even believe it if you’d see it, still we can only wonder what’s the future of surveillance equipment open for all to buy.
The easiest bet is that what is accessible only to law enforcement will eventually trickle down to the general public. Things like laser listening devices.
Time for a change
October 31, 2008 on 6:11 pm | By admin | In TechnologyThe time for a change has come. Humanity has to learn and get used to the fact that it has been moving too fast for its own good. This is proven by the fact that we are willing to sacrifice the life saving plants and dig and destroy the earth for sources of fuel. Now everyone has to learn how to save electricity and everyone has to apply these techniques. Otherwise there is imminent danger. A global meltdown is on the way and it is up to us to stop it. And one of the most important ways to do that is to save electricity. We are the change bringers and the future of the earth depends on us.

This is the beauty of a so-called video resume. You can show that you also walk the walk!

Beating recession with SEM
October 24, 2008 on 10:31 am | By admin | In TechnologyThe number of businesses holding a council of war throughout the UK right now must be staggering. The stock market is up and down like a yo-yo, house prices are crashing, employment is reaching 20 year highs…the UK economy is going to hell in a handbasket and firms up and down the country are worried. During times like this the adbertising budget is often the first thing to go, but in many cases it’s a flase economy because for many businesses it will cut off a large flow of leads. Your sales staff can’t do all the work themselves, they need sources to funnel into them, and from there they can close deals.
We saw a good article at Fresh Business Thinking about this: Search Engine Marketing during the recession. It makes the point, correctly I think, that companies shouldn’t be eliminating marketing spend but spending wisely instead. Make every penny count and you can not only live through tough times but thrive in them.
