Measuring the outcome of interventions for health related treatments is important. Pain is one thing, but the real measure of an outcome is the effect of that pain on the person’s quality of life. For foot pain and to measure the treatments for foot pain, the most acceptable measure for this purpose is the Foot Health Status Questionnaire. This was originally developed by Paul Bennett from Queensland University of Technology in Australia. Since its development the Foot Health Status Questionnaire has been widely used in clinical trials and studies for many pathologies ranging from hallux valgus to plantar fasciitis to general foot pain.
