Kid Friendly Holiday

I can not wait to take my family on a much needed and deserved family getaway. Unfortunately though I will not have a lot of time to make plans and I need to find last minute london hotel rooms. I would like it if the hotel was really geared toward the family and even had kid friendly attractions that we would feel safe leaving the kids while the wife and I had some quiet time of our own. How do I search for these type of hotels?
