Should I Buy One?

I have been thinking that maybe I should buy a swimming pool heater so that they can swim for a few more months of the year without getting too cold. However, I am not sure it would be worth the price since they mainly just use the pool on weekends. The ones I have seen are pretty expensive. How long do they last? Would it really be worth the extra expense for us to buy one considering the limited time it would be used? Can anyone give me some advice?
