a mortgage family history
November 29, 2008 on 11:24 am | By admin | In Miscellaneous | 2 CommentsMy first house! Well, our first house, although I was the one that ended up being the only one working for most of the time we owned the house. Nevertheless, it was a rapid learn in regards to house payments and PMI (Private Mortgage Insurance) and what the lender’s interest rate was, and what my responsibilities were as the borrower. We were very careful not to get in over our financial heads in regards to the cost of the house, and that we took into account the principal as well as the interest and made sure we would able to afford the payment. Our desire was not to enter into an agreement that could possibly result in a mortgage foreclosure. Both sets of parents had been very frugal and fiscally responsible and we didn’t want to spoil the family name.
