Choosing To Understand Premarital And Marital Assets

December 30, 2008 on 8:13 pm | By admin | In Miscellaneous | 2 Comments

Did you know that you have two different types of assets?  You have been premarital, which were things that you owned before you got married, and marital, which you purchased together.  When seeking Divorce financial advice, you need to divide everything into these two categories.

After everything is divided, then you need to take on the second step to the project.  That is to keep what you had premarital assets your brought into the marriage.  Then divide the marital assets.

Dividing everything up this way will make sure that you will get everything that you are entitled to.  You can work out different areas, but for the most part this is the first and most important step.
