The Makita Battery for Pistol Grip Cordless Tools

October 8, 2009 on 1:44 am | By admin | In Miscellaneous | No Comments

There are various different types of cordless tool batteries by Makita in the stick form. There are the old-basic Nickel Cadmium batteries that have been on the market for over fifteen years. This type of Makita battery is used on the “pistol grip” Makita cordless drills. Makita batteries that range from 9.6 volts to 14.4 volts are made of the standard nickel cadmium technology. This type is cheaper than the Ni-MH, but doesn’t last as long. The Nickel Metal Hydride type last longer than Ni-CD batteries and are better for the environment (when disposed of). They can be charged repeatedly and have no “memory-effect.”
