Essentially, those electrical appliances that can be considered portable and plug into the supply via a normal three pin plug are the items that should be pat tested. Electrical appliances such as desk lamps, heaters and fans as well as computers and fax machines are all examples of these items. All those items need pat testing as they are all Portable Appliances which use a plug and electrical supply system.
