Turkey Vultures are Condor Relatives
August 23, 2008 on 1:18 pm | By admin | In ReferenceYou have seen turkey vultures soaring overhead all across America. They often soar on thermal currents and rise high above the mountains. These bald birds are close relatives to the California Condor which is an endangered species. Both are bird species that feed on dead or decaying material, often roadkill. That is why the bald heads are so important.
