Real Home Recording Studio Monitors
October 11, 2009 on 12:55 am | By admin | In TechnologyMany musicians are embracing the DIY attitude these days. And why not? For the cost of some new software and interfaces with their current MAC or PC they can have the same sound quality that big name studios are putting out. But don’t make the mistake of taking ‘on the cheap’ too literally. Take your home recording studio monitors for example. Be sure not to use mid-field or far-field speakers (which are the ones on your stereo) in place of the near-field speakers necessary for truer playback sound. Position them to be equidistant from each other and yourself in a triangular configuration. This will give you a clearer understanding of your sound.
