Use DVD Copy Programs To Transfer CD File To DVD File

I wonder if I could do it myself and just learn how to do it via one of the dvd copy programs that is available in the market. It is expensive to have it transferred professionally and I am sure they will only be using one of the programs that I also see in the market or even online. I believe I will have a go at it first and if I am not successful then I will have it transferred by a professional.
